People often say that Paris left a mark on them, even after one visit. Sometimes that mark can be a healing one, especially after the not-so-long-ago Covid years.
Calligraphy artist Kerry Lucas found that Paris did this for her when she travelled there to connect to other creatives like herself. I love her positive and pro-active ways to finding ways to fill her soul whilst connecting to the place she loves, through workshops and other seemingly non-touristy activities. This comes through in her Instagram account too, @le_petit_moineau
Kerry’s artwork somehow transports me away to another place and time. When seeing the beautiful handmade script, I can imagine the same in places like Versailles. It’s wonderful to see that an artform like hand drawn calligraphy, which could be dying out with machine made art now possible, is being celebrated and encouraged in the manner that Kerry does.

Paris has a way of healing and for Kerry it touched her creative soul within.
